لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنْزَفُونَ ٤٧
Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom.
intoxication in the Quran
لَقَالُوا إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَسْحُورُونَ ١٥
They would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery."
لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنْزِفُونَ ١٩
No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication:
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ٧٢
Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro.
يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّا أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى النَّاسَ سُكَارَىٰ وَمَا هُمْ بِسُكَارَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ ٢
The Day ye shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe, and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot, yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah.
