Search the Quran

Privacy

Search the Quran is free to use and has no accounts. This page explains what we collect and why.

Your searches

When you search, we store the words you searched for, how many verses were found, the time, and your IP address. We use this to see what people look for and to improve the results. We don't use it to identify you and we don't share it.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, what people search for, and which features they use, such as filters, copy and share. Google also tells us the type of device and browser, and the approximate location (country and city). Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and we don't send it your name or any other personal details.

If you are in the UK, the EU or Switzerland, Google Analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept. Until then, Google receives only basic visit information without cookies. Elsewhere, the cookies are set when you visit.

We don't use advertising cookies, and Google's advertising features are switched off. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Change your cookie choice, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Settings saved in your browser

Your choices for showing Arabic, the Arabic text size and your cookie choice are saved in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
